Absolutely terrible experience. Our family of 5 adults were booked for 3 rooms for one night, and we are currently staying at the hotel. Got to the hotel, after a 2 hour drive, at 1230 in the noon, to be greeted by a musty/mouldy smell at the reception. We were told to come back at check in time. Returned at 1500 hours, only to be told that the check in procedures need to be completed - could this have been told to us when we arrived in the first instance, instead of making us wait again for 10 mins just to check us in? Finally checked in, only to see that the rooms had no towels. Walked out of the room to ask housekeeping staff for some, who said that the towels will arrive at 1530 - not sure how this made sense. Waited till 1545, tried to call the reception, the housekeeping, the restaurant, the operator - call wouldn't connect to anyone, anywhere in the hotel. Went down to reception to ask what's happening with the phones and towels. They said they'll send someone to chrck for the phone, but that the towels will arrive in an hour. Flabbergasted by this, asked where they are, and was told they were on their way. We have one night in colombo, we leave the country tomorrow morning - was hoping to shower, get some rest and head out to take in the sights. None of it is happening. It's now 1645 and we're still waiting for the towels. The location is promising and posh, but this service is appalling to say the least.

The hotel is in a great location for sites and the sea front area,the hotel has character and the decor reflects this,our room was a twin and the room was huge,the bathroom again was large with a walk in shower and toiletries were provided.we had a fridge coffee/tea making facilities a safety deposit box and a tv.The air con was very good and the WiFi very speedy.Some of the room decor could do with brightening up but it’s still very nice.There is tuk tuks outside an atm machine next door and the Dutch hospital complex on the doorstep.We had a breakfast on our first day but thought it not great value,there is a bar with an outside seating area and we thought the drinks were reasonably priced.All the staff were very helpful and made you feel welcome.We would highly recommend this hotel.

Good old hotel in Colombo big room only the access was not visible, you can walk around to the sea side areas and market, many restaurants are nearby , liked the service really impressed with size, surprised with the colour of floor purple, why?

Visited the pub/ restaurant at the hotel a very pub kind of atmosphere. Good choice of food on the menu including local food like roast paan and accompaniments. The quality of food was good but a bit too pricy. Very good level of service. Has an outdoor area too so a good choice for a relaxed fun evening

The property is good - spacious rooms and bathroom - nice bed and hot water. The quilt / blanket was very thin though. Room has a safe and a mini fridge and cup-boards. Location is very central and walkable to currency exchange, port city, galle face mall. Important thing to note: the hotel is right next to few bars and was quite loud till about 1 am on both nights we stayed here. Towels seemed a bit old, no face towel provided.
